Brief Description
The trek up the Baltoro glacier to Concordia where the upper Baltoro and Vigine glaciers converge, is indeed coined correctly as “a trek into the throne room of the mountain Gods”. As you trek along the lower Baltoro you see amazing granite towers and sheer walls, Uli Biaho, the Tarango, the Catheradals , peaks after peaks all the way to K2. Above Concordia rise seven of the worlds 25 highest peaks the Gasherbrums 8035m, Broad peak 8047m, K2 8611m all within 25km of one another besides many others like Masherbrum 7821m, Mustag Tower 7360m .
From the road head at Askole trekking to Concordia involves a long and sometimes strenuous walk through a remote and inaccessible land. This is a classic excursion, which takes in some of the most magnificent scenery in the world. From the arid Shigar and Askole valleys with patches of irrigated greenery to the splendid mountains capes of the upper Baltoro, this is visual experience worth it inspite of the 1000 or so trekkers going up the Baltoro each year. An added attraction for experienced trekkers with basic mountaineering skills is the option of crossing of Gondoro la 5940m a technical route out of Concordia crossing a glaciated pass with extraordinary views of the 8000m peaks ending at Hushe. Or you could return back from Concordia without making this high route crossing.

Day 02: Drive on the Karakorum highway to Chilas . Hotel
Day 03: Drive along the Indus river through Rondu Gorge to Skardu. Hotel
Day 04: Explore Skardu/ acclimatize / finalize porters. Hotel
Day 05: Drive to Askole. Camp
Day 06: Trek Askole to Koropon 5/7 hrs. Camp
Day 07: Trek Koropon Skam Tsok 4/6 hrs. Camp 3300m
Day 08: Trek Skam Tsok to Paiyu 4/5 hrs. Camp 3450m
Day 09: Rest\acclimatize at Paiyu. Camp
Day 10: Trek Paiju to Khobersey 6/7 hrs . Camp 3930m
Day 11: Trek Khobersey to Urdukus 3/4 hrs. Camp 4100m
Day 12: Trek Urdukus to Goro II 6/7 hrs. Camp 4380m
Day 13: Trek Goro II to Concordia 5/6 hrs. Camp 4650m
