Brief Description

A short trek to the lovely alpine Fairy meadows 3306m can be combined with different trips in the area. Fairy Medow, with day hikes or side trips, has a bit of everything Himalayan trekking can offer- a hair raising jeep ride to get there, lush medows, amazing glaciers and great views of Nanga Parbat massif 8125m right infront of you. Four major icefalls converge to form the 13km Raikot Glacier, beneath Nanga Parbat’s north face. Beside the glacier there are pine and fir forests, sparkling streams and open grassland that have enchanted visitors and prompted the name Fairy Medow.

Itinerary

Day 01: Arrival Islamabad transfer to hotel. Free afternoon in the bazaars Hotel

Day 02: Drive on the Karakorum highway to Chilas . Hotel

Day 03: Drive to Tato walk 2 / 3 hrs to Fairy meadows below Nanga Camp 3200m

Day 04: Explore Fairymeadows alpine pastures below Nanga Parbat 8125m. Camp

Day 05: Trek to Bial or base of Nanga Parbat return to Fairy meadows. Camp

Day 06: Walk 2 hrs to Tato, drive Jeeps to Gulmit. Hotel

Day 07: Explore Gulmit village. Hotel .

Day 08: Explore Passu & Batura glacier 56km long. Hotel

Day 09: Continue along the Karakorum Highway to Karimabad Hunza. Hotel

Day 10: Explore Baltit village the traditional capital of Hunza. Hotel

Day 11: Drive back down the Karakoram Highway to Besham. Hotel

Day 12: Drive on the Karakorum highway to Rawalpindi / Islamabad. Hotel

Day 13: Free shopping day in Rawalpindi. Hotel

Day 14: Transfer to airport for International flight
